In September, the following letter was sent to all members.
I am delighted to anounce the kick-off of the RAUSI bursary program for 2020 and provide the membership with the necessary details to allow prospective appllicants the time necessary to complete and submit the required documentaiton. This year, RAUSI will again provide two bursaries of $2,000.00 each to full-time students registered and attending any recognized post-secondary instituion.
I ask that the RAUSI membership review the details in the attached application form. While the application requirements are not onerous, pelase be aware that incomplete applications will not be considered. All applications must be received by RAUSI no later than 30 October, 2020. The Bursary Committee will look to announce the recipients shortly thereafter and will look forward to making the award no later than 4 December, 2020.
I empathize with many of the COVID-19 issues and concerns that have been expressed by our members over these past six months. We are aware and fully appreciate the changes and, in many cases, the economic hardship which this pandemic has forced upon individuals everywhere. For these reasons, I ask that you widely distribute this bursary information package. Our efforts to help students during these trying times must be amplified.
