Sustaining NATO Force Generation in the 21st Century: Rebuilding Alliance Reserve Forces Post-Mission
By Col Dr. Howard Coombs (Ret’d), 15 December, 2020
In partnership with New Zealand, Canada has examined the post-mission phase of reserve operational employment. This work builds on the findings of the 2016 Dutch report, Lessons Learned from Commitments of Reservists in Operations (LLCRO), which provided an overview of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization’s (NATO) ability for the international deployment of reservists, and the follow-on Canadian-led project that took place in 2018 and looked at the pre-deployment aspects of operations.
